Liverpool FAQ's

There's a lot to think about when planning a hen party or a stag do in Liverpool so we've taken the time to list the most common questions we get asked so you can find all the answers here.

As our site is only 3.5 miles from the centre of Liverpool there are tons of great options for you to choose from. Please ask one of our friendly staff for more details.

Mersey Games – There are 8 great activities for you to get involved in. Everyone will get a go. We've also got the Mersey Shower at our outdoor site! Bonus!

Age Restrictions

You have to be over 18 to participate in the activities. This includes spectators.

The only exception is if you are over 16 and accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Balance Payments

We require an initial deposit of £50 per group to book your activity. The remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to your event date. We will just need to know whether there have been any changes to your final group numbers. If there aren’t any changes, you can proceed in paying your final balance by clicking on the link at the bottom of the invoice we sent you.

If you would like to change your group number or if you encounter any other problems please either email us [email protected] or give us a call on 0151 268 0338

Changing Facilities

We have access to changing facilities at all of our sites. Please contact us if you would like to use them.

Outdoor site:

The activities are outside during the summer months so please make sure you wear suitable clothing. Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or wet.

You will be required to wear socks on some of the games so please ensure everyone in your group has a pair of socks and trainers. You can buy socks for £3 per pair at our sites.

Please don't bring jewellery to the games if you can help it. We'll ask you to remove dangling necklaces and earrings.

Indoor sites:

During the indoor games we ask everyone to take off their shoes so you will need some socks. You can buy socks for £3 per pair at our sites.

Please don't bring jewellery to the games if you can help it. We'll ask you to remove dangling necklaces and earrings.

Children on Site

We love kids but due to the nature of the site it is not a safe place for them, even if they are under supervision. We therefore cannot have babies or small children anywhere on the site, Sorry.

Confirming your group size

We need an estimated group size when you pay your deposit and you can confirm your group size 30 days prior to the activity date.

Directions and Travel Time

Please see our contact us page for our handy maps and travel info.

You can expect to enjoy our Mersey Games activity for 2-3 hours.

Food and Drink

We provide snacks and refreshments for a small additional cost at our reception, which you can pay for on the day.

Min/Max Group Sizes

We believe in “the more the merrier” at the Mersey Games so we don’t have a maximum group size although please let us know if you have a group with more than 20 people.

We base our minimum group size on 8 people but this is a figure based on cost. Smaller groups are still very welcome but you will have to pay for 8.

Other Groups

Your group will be participating in the games together and will not be pitted against other groups. You will be assigned your own guide who’ll keep score between you. Everyone gets their own score at the end and the winner gets the prize!

Please respect other groups.

We have parking on site. It is clearly marked with our signs. There is also a map on our contact us page which shows the location of customer parking.

Please do not leave valuables in cars as they are left at your own risk.

Your guide will take approximately 30 photos for your group, which we’ll upload to our Facebook page for you, free of charge, which will be done as soon as possible and usually on the day.

Please note that our guides are not professional photographers. They do their best but it’s hard to capture good action shots every time! You are welcome to take your own photos of the day on your phones to make sure you don’t miss anything.

It's also important to be aware that the photos are at all times the property of Mersey Games and we share them with you for free.

We always try our best to share photos with you but sometimes electrical equipment and systems do fail and there isn't anything we can do.

In the unlikely event that there are poor, unusable or simply no photos of your group this isn't something that would enable a refund.

Pregnant Ladies

For obvious reasons we cannot allow pregnant ladies to participate in the games although you are welcome to come along to laugh at your mates!

Refunds and Cancellations

Once the deposit has been made this is non-refundable.

Once the final balance payment has been made this is also non-refundable. You have until 30 days before the event to change your group size but after 30 days this is fixed.

Indoor Season: October – March

Mersey Games

Outdoor Season: March – October

Mersey Games, Bubble Ball and Arrow Attack available.

For specific dates please check the calendar on the booking page.

Spectators are welcome and they don’t have to pay. We are an outdoor activity provider and as such don’t have picnic areas. A reasonable amount of spectators can follow their group around the games but this is judged on total numbers on a group by group basis. Please call for more information.

ALL spectators must sign our disclaimer to be on the site.

The Bar

The bar belongs to the outdoor site where we are based and as such is not under our control.

The bar is open 99% of the time and they welcome Mersey Games guests. However, on occasion, they may have a private function booked, in which case they may close the bar. We aren't always notified of this situation so please call the event team on the day to double check whether the bar is available to avoid disappointment.

Please respect other patrons in the bar. It is a police members club after all!

We cannot provide transport at this time. However, there are great transport links to our event sites.

Taxi’s are quite cheap in Liverpool and so are by far the most common way people get to us but if you want to come by bus, it’s the 82 and the nearest train station is Aigburth.

For more help in finding us you can use this journey planner.

The games are outdoors during the summer months and will still take place if it is raining. We have marquee space where you can shelter but we don’t provide seating at this time. There is an onsite bar which can provide shelter.

We also sell ponchos at reception.

In the case of severe weather conditions, we will make a determination prior to the event. In the unlikely event that we decide to cancel the entire event, we will contact you and provide you with a full refund.

Wearing Glasses

Due to the physical nature of the games those people wearing glasses will be asked to remove them. Contact lenses should be worn instead where possible.

We provide an area behind reception where your group can put valuables. Reception is always manned so you can relax knowing your stuff is safe!
