There's a lot to think about when planning a hen party or a stag do in Manchester so we've taken the time to list the most common questions we get asked so you can find all the answers here.
As our site is only 3 miles from the centre of Manchester there are tons of great options for you to choose from. Please ask one of our friendly staff for more details.
There are 8 great activities for you to get involved in. Everyone will get a go on all the games!
You have to be over 18 to participate in the activities. This includes spectators.
The only exception is if you are over 16 and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We require an initial deposit of £50 per group to book your activity. The remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to your event date. We will just need to know whether there have been any changes to your final group numbers. If there aren’t any changes, you can proceed in paying your final balance by clicking on the link at the bottom of the invoice we sent you.
We have access to changing facilities at all of our sites. Please contact us if you would like to use them.
During the Manchester Games we ask everyone to take off their shoes so you will need some socks. This is important and you'll be required to buy a pair for £3 each if you don't bring your own!
Please don't bring jewellery to the games if you can help it. We'll ask you to remove necklaces and earrings and rings.
There's no water involved on the games so you won't get wet.
Generally people wear sports clothing or fancy dress! We encourage fancy dress as it makes for funnier photos!
We love kids but due to the nature of the site it is not a safe place for them, even if they are under supervision. We therefore cannot have babies or small children anywhere on the site, Sorry.
We need an estimated group size when you pay your deposit and you can confirm your group size 30 days prior to the activity date.
You can expect to enjoy Mersey Games - Manchester for 2-3 hours.
We provide snacks and refreshments for a small additional cost at our reception, which you can pay for on the day.
We believe in “the more the merrier” at the Mersey Games so we don’t have a maximum group size although please let us know if you have a group with more than 20 people.
We base our minimum group size on 8 people but this is a figure based on cost. Smaller groups are still very welcome but you will have to pay for 8.
Your group will be participating in the games together and will not be pitted against other groups. You will be assigned your own guide who’ll keep score between you. Everyone gets their own score at the end and the winner gets the prize!
Please respect other groups.
We have parking on site. It is clearly marked with our signs. There is also a map on our contact us page which shows the location of customer parking.
Please do not leave valuables in cars as they are left at your own risk.
Your guide will take approximately 30 photos for your group, which we’ll upload to our Facebook page for you, free of charge. This will be done as soon as possible and usually on the day.
Please note that our guides are not professional photographers. They do their best but it’s hard to capture good action shots every time! You are welcome to take your own photos of the day on your phones to make sure you don’t miss anything.
For obvious reasons we cannot allow pregnant ladies to participate in the games although you are welcome to come along to laugh at your mates!
The bar belongs to the outdoor site where we are based and as such is not under our control.
The bar is open 99% of the time and they welcome Mersey Games guests. However, on occasion, they may have a private function booked, in which case they may close the bar. We aren't always notified of this situation so please call the event team on the day to double check whether the bar is available to avoid disappointment.
Please respect other patrons in the bar.
Once the deposit has been made this is non-refundable.
Once the final balance payment has been made this is also non-refundable. You have until 30 days before the event to change your group size but after 30 days this is fixed.
If you are worried about attendees pulling out we recommend booking a smaller group size. You can add participants after the 30 day limit but not remove them.
It's also important to be aware that the photos are, at all times, the property of Mersey Games and we share them with you for free.
We always try our best to share photos with you but sometimes electrical equipment and systems do fail and there isn't anything we can do.
In the unlikely event that there are poor, unusable or simply no photos of your group this isn't something that would enable a refund.
Mersey Games reserves the right to withhold photos.
Mersey Games Manchester is available from March to October each year. If you are looking for a winter option, try our Liverpool indoor site.
Spectators are welcome and they don’t have to pay. A reasonable amount of spectators can follow their group around the games but this is judged on total numbers on a group by group basis. Please call for more information.
ALL spectators must sign our disclaimer to be on the site.
Due to the physical nature of the games customers that wear glasses will be asked to remove them. Contact lenses should be worn instead where possible.
